A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, David Hammett, MD of the Hammett Clinic in Columbia, South Carolina, is a summa cum laude graduate of Wake Forest University. He earned his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest in 2001. He completed his residency in Neurology at Vanderbilt University and followed that with a clinical fellowship in Vascular Neurology at Vanderbilt. In 2006, Dr. Hammett joined the faculty at the USC School of Medicine. He thereafter entered private practice. His particular clinical interests include comprehensive headache and migraine management, stroke care, movement disorders, and a variety of procedure-based treatments - including a full range of medical and cosmetic uses for Botox and similar injections.
