WEIGHT & FAT LOSS

FAR Infrared Sauna Blanket

FAT LOSS

ULTRASONIC CAVITATION

Each session begins with application of special creams on the skin. Then you snuggle into the warm blanket and relax while listening to a guided meditation for true "me" time. Inside the blanket your body is burning calories and detoxing as part of this personal sauna session.

Skinology's Far Infrared (FIR) Therapy system is based upon Thermosudation. Occlusive creams are applied to promote fat break down and with the FIR, triglycerides (fat cells) stored in the body are converted into fatty acids. These fatty acids are then transported via the bloodstream to be used throughout the body as energy. The energy required for the body to sweat as a means of cooling down during a Far Infrared Theapy session comes directly from the use of these fatty acids. Use of the Far Infrared sauna blanket encourages detoxification of dirt, oils, and various toxins from the body which can hinder circulation. It promotes microcirculation, allowing hormones that control fat storage to reach the fat cells. In a Far Infrared Therapy session helps to eliminate retention of liquids that prevent proper fat management by the body.
Why has this therapy gained worldwide popularity? Measurable results are seen after just the first session. Weight loss from a Far Infrared Therapy session is not just water loss. Using the specially formulated creams results in more weight loss than when only the Far Infrared Therapy is used. The Far Infrared Therapy system allows for constant weight loss over time. Clients who schedule multiple sessions over one to two months will see their weight continue to fall. This would not be possible if only water weight were lost. Also, the body's overall fat composition percentage will decrease at the same time which is a clear indicator that the body is using the stored fat for energy.

1.     At least one hour before the session, eat a meal consisting of low fat protein, vegetables or fruit and low carbohydrates.

2.     Drink plenty of water daily, especially the day before and the day after your session. Do not drink anything alcoholic or carbonated before             your session. Tea and coffee are allowed only if decaffeinated.

3.     Refrain from showering for 4-6 hours after treatment, allowing the pores to close naturally before possibly reintroducing environmental               toxins.

4.     Refrain from eating for 4-6 hours after treatment and only drink a little water during this period.

After a Far Infrared Therapy session, the body's system are open and active due to increased circulation and stimulation. This also applies to fat cells which will try to restock during this time and return to their familiar size. It is important to let the body settle down and allow those fat cells to adjust to their smaller size.

Individuals with the following conditions will not be permitted to utilize Far Infrared Therapy :

SKINSHEEK LIFT

Focused ultrasound energy creates micro-channels at targeted levels to empty fact cells rather than destroying them resulting in an immediate volume change.  Utilizing the scaffolding technique, multiple goals can be addressed in one treatment including not just volume loss but also tightening loose skin, contouring body areas, and texture issues such as cellulite and crepey skin. This technology directly delivers heat energy to the skin to stimulate and renew the skin's collagen and thus consequently improving the texture and reducing sagging of the skin. It literally achieves the results of a face or body lift without any invasive surgery or injections. This technique can be applied to the face as well as the whole body, and it also works equally well for people of all skin colors in contrast to that of lasers and intense pulse light (IPL) treatments.

IMPROVE CIRCULATION

FAR INFRARED PRESSURE THERAPY

Since everybody's body is different, prices listed are starting prices.  Facial goals are usually met within 3 treatments while it can take 3-5 treatments for body goals to be reached.  Please schedule a SkinSheek Lift Consultation to obtain an exact price and discuss what you can expect from your SkinSheek Lift treatment series.

Far Infrared (FIR) is actually a wavelength in the light spectrum. It is a 5-15 micron wavelength that we cannot see, but we can feel it as heat. Studies have long shown that infrared heat quickly and painlessly penetrates the body about 1 ½ inches and heats from the inside out. This process shows that when fat cells are heated they will expand, causing them to temporarily open and expel contents of fat and toxins. This process is known as lipolysis. When the fat cells empty, they shrink leaving a flatter waist, tummy, thighs, buttocks and arms. This process, combined with the pressure therapy (pressotherapy), helps to move the liquefied fat into the lymphatic system and to the liver, where it is metabolized by the body and discharged via bowel movements, perspiration, urine, and other forms of detoxification.

The pressure is designed to simulate a deep massage that uses enough pressure to reach below the surface of the skin. This treatment benefits the body in the following ways:
  • Assists with weight loss as it burns calories during and after treatment
  • Improved circulation and reduction of swelling
  • Immediate leg comfort and lightness
  • Relief of numbness or pain (neuropathy)
  • Improves lymphatic drainage
  • Enhancement of skin tone
  • Slimming and firming of the entire body
  • Reduction of cellulite
Studies have shown results of inch loss after one session with noticeable results in four sessions. Additionally, study participants reported a noticeable reduction in pain, an increase in energy, and an overall feeling of well-being. For best results a series of 8 sessions is recommended. There must be 72 hours between treatments.
  •   Individuals with these conditions are not candidates for Far Infrared Pressure Therapy:

    • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
    • Presence of any pain or numbness
    • Acute infection of the affected limb
    • Cardiac Heart Failure (CHF)
    • Any instance where increase venous and lymphatic return is undesirable.
    •  Medications – Diuretics, barbiturates and beta‐blockers may impair the body’s natural heat loss mechanisms.  Anticholinergics such as amitryptaline may inhibit sweating and can predispose individuals to heat rash or to a lesser extent heat stroke. Some over‐the‐counter drugs, such as antihistamines, may also cause the body to be more prone to heat stroke.
    • Pregnancy/Breast Feeding – Pregnant or breast feeding women should not use infrared pressotherapy.  A detoxification process will produce the expelled toxins into your breast milk.
    • Menstruation – Heating of the low back area of women during the menstrual period may temporarily increase their menstrual flow.
    •  Elderly – The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature. As we mature, our bodies naturally lose this capability. Guests over the age of 70 will be permitted to use infrared pressotherapy but at a lower temperature.
    • Cardiovascular Conditions – Individuals with cardiovascular conditions or problems (hypertension/hypotension), congestive heart failure, impaired coronary circulation or those who are taking medications which might affect blood pressure should exercise caution when exposed to prolonged heat. Heat stress increases cardiac output and blood flow in an effort to transfer internal body heat to the outside environment via the skin (perspiration) and respiratory system. This takes place primarily due to major changes in the heart rate, which has the potential to increase by thirty (30) beats per minute for each degree increase in core body temperature.
    •  Alcohol/Alcohol Abuse – Contrary to popular believe, it is not advisable to attempt to “sweat out” a hangover.  Alcohol intoxication decreases a person’s judgment; therefore, he/she may not realize when the body has a negative reaction to high heat. Alcohol also increases the heart rate, which may be further increased by heat stress. Guests who appear intoxicated or inform us of alcohol consumption prior their infrared pressotherapy appointment will forfeit their scheduled appointment and no refund or credit will be issued.
    • Reduced Ability to Sweat or Perspire Associated With – Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumors and Diabetes with Neuropathy are conditions that are associated with impaired sweating.
    • Hemophiliacs/Individuals Prone to Bleeding – The use of infrared pressotherapy should be avoided by anyone who is predisposed to bleeding.
    • Fever – An individual who has a fever must wait at least 24 hours after the fever subsides.
    • Insensitivity to Heat – An individual with insensitivity to heat should not use an infrared pressotherapy.
    • Joint Injury – If you have a recent (acute) joint injury, it should not be heated for the first 48 hours after an injury or until the swollen symptoms subside. If you have a joint or joints that are chronically hot and swollen, these joints may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind.
    •  Implants – Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared waves and thus are not heated by this system. Nevertheless, you should consult your physician prior to using an infrared pressotherapy.
    • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
